Federación Española de Reiki (En)

The “Federación Española de Reiki” is constituted as a national Federation under Spanish law. It comprises of different Reiki associations in Spain and has a permanent board of members. All the members of the Federation are bound by a code of ethics.

The Spanish Reiki Federation was created in September, 2007 to serve Reiki Masters and Therapists living in Spain. In the last 10 years, its scope has broadened to include Latin America and now has 1000 members in almost all countries in South and Central America, as well as about 3,500 members in Spain and many European countries. We also have several hundred Reiki practitioners that neither teach nor apply Reiki, but simply want to improve their Reiki knowledge.

The aims of the Federation are to:
• Unite Reiki practitioners under a common code of ethics.
• Offer a public, searchable database of members for public use.
• Provide guarantees to the public requiring Reiki services, as all members must provide the Federation proof of identity, domicile, fiscal and contact details, as well as agreeing to the code of ethics.
• Offer free or low-cost training to Reiki Masters to improve their teaching abilities
• Offer free training for Reiki practitioners to enhance their visibility and improve their marketing skills.
• Provide low cost printed and audio-visual material for use in teaching. The material can be ordered in paper format or downloaded from our online platform.
• Provide Federation Certification and Diplomas for Reiki Masters to offer upon completion of a Reiki level. The Diplomas can be ordered in paper format or downloaded from our online platform.
• Provide free legal counselling and defense to members in the event that they require it as a result of practicing a Natural Therapy.
• Provide free medical counselling to members who have queries regarding their personal health or effects of Reiki resulting from a treatment.
• Offer a low-cost Third-Party Liability Insurance Policy for practicing Reiki Masters and Therapists that covers the practice of Natural Therapies.Provide formal training for Reiki therapists through an intensive, six-month online Reiki Therapist course.

Miscellaneous

The aim of the Federation is to be as inclusive as possible, based on recommendation as opposed to obligation. We respect all viewpoints regarding Reiki and all lineages are accepted as long as they originate from Mikao Usui.

Our main emphasis is to raise the didactical and therapeutical knowledge of our members through constant free or low-cost training.

The Federation accepts all practitioners of all lineages from the 1st level. There is an annual fee for all members.
Federation members are classified according to training and knowledge:
1. Basic member. Has not completed any recognized training (except level courses) and has not completed the entrance exam (see 2.).
2. Validated member. Has completed and passed the voluntary entrance exam, demonstrating a basic knowledge of Reiki both from a teaching perspective and a therapeutic one.
3. Qualified Federation member. Has completed a Federation course in either teaching or applying Reiki.
